This full electrical restoration project in Newton involved a complete rewire and the installation of a brand-new 400-amp service to support a high-performance modern system within a historic home. ACE Services was responsible for the integration of a multi-zone Lochinvar radiant heating system, extensive under-cabinet lighting, and custom lighting controls throughout. The project included complex demands such as dedicated circuits for specialty appliances, a multi-zone HVAC system with three condensers, and speaker systems in both the kitchen and gym areas.
One of the most unique aspects of this project was the level of detail and customization required. From installing restored vintage light fixtures to sourcing different colored switches and devices to match the home’s wallpaper and décor, every element had to be tailored to fit seamlessly into the architectural style and interior design. Our team also installed closet door lighting with motion activation, enhancing both functionality and aesthetics without compromising the home’s classic charm.
The exterior of the property received the same attention, featuring a tasteful landscape lighting system that highlights walkways, gardens, and architectural elements at night. Despite the historic preservation efforts handled primarily by other trades, ACE Services ensured all electrical work met modern NEC standards while maintaining the integrity of the original structure. The client was thrilled with the outcome, praising both the high level of craftsmanship and the smooth coordination throughout the renovation.
